E45 Cream as a primer?
About two weeks ago i ran out of my usual primer. Me being me, i couldn’t be bothered going to the shops to get another one. So i rummaged through my makeup and tried to find something else i could use instead. Failing to find any primers, i found some E45 cream.
E45 cream is a non greasy, light liquid paraffin which is normally used to treat
- Dry/flakey skin
- Itchy Skin
- Sun burn
So as i had nothing else to use as primer, i thought i would try it out. The cream doesn’t have much of a scent, which for me is a good thing. Applying it to my face, it made a very smooth base to apply my foundation on to. I would say a little goes a long way, so this 50g tube will last me ages. I did notice it was slightly tacky but that will help the foundation stick.
After wearing my makeup for about 8 hours, my makeup has never looked better. I would say that the E45 cream did a better job than my standard Rimmel primer. I have been using the E45 cream as a primer for about two weeks now and i couldn’t be happier with the results.
The E45 cream has also done wonders for my skin. For months i have struggled with dry patches around my nose and on my forehead. But after using this cream, my skin has started to look a lot more hydrated.
What makes this product even better… is that it only costs £1.50. Yeah that’s right, less than £2 for a flawless primer!
Have you tried the E45 cream as a primer? Let me know in the comments.
